eg: I did a runtime test with the backlight left on full, it took a little over three hours to get down to 3%, but didn't shutoff until just over 5 hours. I wonder if the battery management changed in a software version.
My older 705 did the same thing when it's battery was getting old. The battery level icon would go all the way down in just a couple of hours, and the "Low Battery" message would pop up. But it kept running. I never timed it to see how long it would continue after the message.
A new battery fixed it. The replacement battery is still going strong after about 3 years now. It's from
newpower99.com. I see they
don't have a 520 replacement. I installed my 705 easily, with their supplied tiny screwdriver and plastic ribbon cable puller and youtube procedure.
I was considering the 520 Plus, but I want a replaceable battery.
