The 520 struggled with battery life after some firmware updates last year. Recent updates appear to have fixed the issue and, at least for me, the battery life is now acceptable. I don’t spend 20hrs on the bike in one sitting though.

The battery fuel gauge remains inaccurate and, as you mention, will continue to operate long after the ‘low battery’ warning.
