I had a single rider accident just about two years ago, tagged a curb and went down a gravel embankment. Would have cracked my skull on some of the larger rocks for sure. Helmet probably didn't save my life but it saved me a ton of trouble. Separated shoulder, bleeding all over the right side of my body from road rash but my noggin was intact.
The law in California requires kids under 18 to wear a helmet when cycling. I do so enjoy seeing families out cycling, kids in helmets, parents bare-headed. SMH.
My neighbor died walking to mailbox to get mail. Slipped on ice and hit his head. A tragic and fatal
accident.
I like to see people walking to get mail, but bare-headed? SMH
