My tandem has a 3x7 drivetrain. Both derailleurs work like champs with their trigger shifters. I'm going to mess with success. I'm keeping the crankset, front derailleur, and front shifter. I'm replacing the rear hub, cassette, rear derailleur, and rear shifter, all to make a 3x11 drivetrain. I might enjoy the closer spacing. The new bottom gear will be a little lower, and the top gear will be much higher. Our speed has been limited by our top gear which is only 100 inches.
