Gear Ratio Question for 11 speed upgrade

Good morning!

I'm currently running 10 speed 105 on my 2014 CAAD10: 50/34 chainring and 11/28 cassette. I'm in the SF bay area and "need" the easiest gear on my current setup(based on my fitness and the hills I do-grades above 13% start to burn for me even on the easiest gear).

Would it maybe make sense to go 52/36 chainring and 11/30 or 11/32 cassette? Looking to possibly upgrade to 11 speed Ultegra. Happy to just stick with 50/34 and 11/28 on a new 11 speed setup too; just not sure if sentiment has changed on this in the last half decade or so. I do very little time in the flats (usually going up or down hill-West Marin, San Francisco, western San Mateo counties). I ride about 80 miles a week, late 30s male. Riding goals are: just to ride, keep up with my friends, stay fit, enjoy the outdoors. I'm not racing but sometimes on my rides I pretend I am :-)

Thanks!
