The subject bicycle appears to be a circa 1990 Miyata 721A. The frame is adhesive bonded aluminum with CrMo stays and forks. The component group is Shimano 500EX EX/LX with a replacement crankset for the OEM 500LX triple. Geometry is more sport-touring than racing oriented. and the intention was a fast, one day touring bicycle. This is evidence via the OEM 21 speed gearing and the inclusion of rack mounts on the stays. Original MSRP in 1990 was $525 US. A nice bicycle for the intended purpose with the weakest point being the Araya SS-45 channel section rims, as opposed to true box section.
