Bikes: 1987 Cannondale SR500

I think that is somewhat of a hidden gem. Those frames are very nice, and if you can get some better used parts for the ones that need to be replaced, (headset is trashed), and replace bearings, etc then you can have a really nice bike for not much money. Did it come with wheels?

I just resurrected my 1987 Cannondale SR 500 with 105 (BR-1050) group which is very similar to this bike. Mine was well cared for, and well stored, (by me) so with new tires, and tubes I was back on the road without a hitch. Even the tires, and tubes seemed fine, and road well, but I replaced them as a precaution. Clean it up, and keep it. They ride very nicely.
