The fit issue is actually the height of the tire on the rear brake bridge. I didn’t measure them but the general consensus is that the Contis run wide. Pairing that with a very wide rim like the HED, Results in an even taller tire profile as the sidewalls sit straighter on a wide rim. I had a few sidewall cuts on my 4000’s anyways so I am going back to the rubinos which I have been pleased with. The rubino 25mm has a noticeably shorter profile and gives plenty of clearance to the brake bridge.
