Cruised the GAP C&O last summer 2018 in late June no problems but mother nature doesn’t play fair. Reminds me of some old margarine commercial when I was a kid 1970s about it’s not nice to fool Mother Nature
I remember those "Chiffon" ads. 2018 rains were about the worst I've ever seen in the DC area, Late July/August can be hot but usually things dry up by then. I wonder about chain-cleaning while riding a muddy C&O, seems like the chain would be gritty & slow pretty much the whole time.
