The two kickstands really help for stability, and I also have a Flash Flag which sticks out into traffic to keep the vehicles at bay. It works very well.

Nice setup. I just picked up a BOB from Craigslist, and am now working on fitting an electric assist on the front end of my recumbent. Where did you mount your battery?
