Hiya Matt, there is probably other options but from what i know there is 2 other types of racks other than the one that bolts onto the dropout and seatstay.

Firstly there is free hanging rack (designed for suspension cycles) They can also be used on non suspension bikes. They basically just clamp onto the seat post and hangs over the back wheel. Depending on how much you have left on you'r seat post and how many apples you would like carry.

Secondly, it bolts onto the dropouts as normal and then clamps onto the seat clamp istelf. Either a quick release one of a bolted one as shown..
