First I noticed that I wasn't getting any power/cadence data, so I stopped and dicked with that, to no avail. There was a firmware update a couple days ago, so something went wonky there.

I was still feeling good and moving well, but then I realized that I'd forgotten my food at home. The only gas station around had lemons and limes on hand, but no bananas. No bananas? wtf.

Shortly after that, a bit of bounciness in the saddle told me that my rear tire was low. Couldn't find any sealant spray or signs of a puncture, so I just topped off and kept moving. ...until it got low again, about 5 miles down the road. I must have had more punctures than I'd thought, because the inside of the tire was dry (which I learned after cultivating and popping a few blisters during the removal of the tire).. Popped in my spare tube, but the threads on the valve stem were bungled and I couldn't get my pump threaded on all the way, so I got it up to ~30psi and limped a few miles to a bike shop.

The ride after that was mercifully uneventful, but all that stuff sapped my energy a bit, so it was a bit slow going.

Time for beer and beer and food.
Commiserating. We have all had those.
