I'm an indexed shifting kind of guy so I have the tool for inspection, detection, selection, and correction of that particular problem if gugie doesn't.
My publicist is correct, I have such a tool. I was riding behind scozim for much of The Palouse ride, and noted that his Peugeot could use a tweek, and was hoping he might come so I could effect the repair. Alas, he will be in London with his better half. I think this shows a lack of commitment to the C&V cause, but I really should not judge.
For others to know, just about I have a good collection of just about any frame alignment tool/gauge one might need, so bring your tired, your weary, your downtrodden assembly of tubes and bits and Unka Gugie will help you make it as good as new. Well, no guarantees...
