I use a rack that leans on the wall. The only hole is at the very top, where I screwed in a retaining strap to keep it from moving accidentally.
That was the kind I was leaning towards until I found this.
Not only can I store 3 bikes in a small area, I can hang Helmets, bike locks, and other gear on it.
