Mel Pinto was a Virginia based distributor and mail order house. Circa 1980 the company distributed Zebrakenko from Japan and Super Star from Taiwan. They also had a Pinto branded track model and an 18" mixte with 26"/650 wheels for small women. I suspect that the Pinto branded models may have used the same source as Zebrakenko. The serial number may provide a clue to the manufacturer and actual year.
