If you have a floor drain or a sump pump well in the basement that you can run a drain hose to, a large dehumidifier makes a huge difference.

Hanging bikes upside down from joists or roof trusses keeps them off the floor and keeps the tires from getting flat spots (but maybe not something you want to do if you've got hydraulic discs).
