It's not the sidewall height that matters but the effective rim diameter. From what I can tell, the Mavic XM117 has an ERD of 543mm, while the Rigida Rival has an ERD of 563mm. Unless you can find a lacing pattern that calls for the same length spoke, it's not going to work to re-use the spokes.
