Yes, my first post and waaay too many decisions. I've been looking at many brands, but specifically have a question about these two and the higher cost of the Trek with lesser components. Both 2019, Trek is all 105. Giant is mostly Ultegra, except if has Giant brake calipers. I know Giant is known for their good value for what you get, but why is the Giant $200 cheaper with the pricier group set? Is the Trek frame/ride quality noticeably better? I plan on keeping my bike mostly stock and riding as is...is there a big difference in wheel/hub quality, vs small parts quality between the two?

Other bikes considered are the Cannondale Synapse, Spec. Roubaix

I also know it comes down to bike fit, comfort and my preferred LBS. I only have about 8 Trek Dealers and 5 Giant dealers within 12 miles, so that's a whole other decision.
