I wonder how many cheapo one-size sunhats would fit over a helmet? Cowboys/cowgirls devised the "Hellhat" with cowboy hat brim over equestrian helmet but they may have been using a large-size cowboy hat:

Da Brims aren't super-cheap but for me they work pretty well & seem very sturdy.
