I have pulled the six KG Chubby up a fourteen percent grade with thirty KG in it. And up even steeper mountain trails, though I don't recommend that. Don't know of a stable way to put that much weight on the bike.
30kg of baggage is quite a lot. Provided I don't cook, I have no problem touring with 7-8kgs in the T-Bag, up to 2kg of food in a handlebar bag, and a 2kg bag on the rear rack for the camping gear.

That's precisely the point: You ditch the trailer, and you
don't carry the cardboard box during the trip. You just chunk it when deplaning, and get a new one for your next flight.
