Hello bike builders!

I'm looking for some information on a bike manufacturer that I can't seem to find anywhere online. I recently picked up an old Mountain Tour Canyon Runner frame on Kijiji and built it into a single-speed urban commuter for a friend. It was originally a rigid 18-speed mountain bike with Shimano Tourney components (here's one of the few pics I can find online of the model I have http://www.stephanelapointe.com/velo...7_102_5770.jpg), but it now looks more like your average hipster single-speed. All I know about it is that the frame seems to have come in both men's and women's styles, and that it may have been made in Canada. I've looked around, but can't seem to find much else on this bike. I'm hoping to learn more about where was it manufactured, what year, average retail price... That kind of stuff. Any estimates of its new worth would also be appreciated.
