I don't have these problems and I am a cap addict. I have bought a lot of caps and at least under my Lazer Z1 and Giro Synthe I don't/didn't have issues with the helmet being too far back. It is awkward on my Lazer MTB helmet but that has a stupid visor that gets in the way. I have used cotton and tech fabric ones from various makers and no issues with any of them though I will say the Paul one I have is a bit smaller than I would like for my head size and another one from a local women's team and awesome vegan bakery is a bit small but I have a larger head then probably those who would generally be wearing it in a more official capacity.
