Thanks for your feedback hobbs1951 and The Golden Boy. And thanks for all the wonderful digression verktyg. Great info.

I guess for me BITD was the early 80s, when I was in high school, racing, riding every day (a lot), and working in a bike shop. I was tired often... I did start riding when i was a kid though, so I can lay some claim to the 70s.

Looking at the Nitto pics provided by GB above, it looks to me like the B132 is optimized for bar end shifters, and the B135 is not, as the latter has longer drops. Or maybe it just looks that way because the B132 has longer ramps.

B135 has slightly angled ramps, whereas the B132 has parallel ramps and drops. I think the B135 is more right for me. I'll get around to trying it eventually.

It seems like rando bars would be comfortable. haven't ridden rando bars since the Motobecane I had 'BITD'. I remember those as always being comfortable on long rides and centuries. I tend to ride in the corners a lot too. I've never ridden Noodles. I can't understand how that angle would be comfortable, but must be since a lot of people love them. I

Oh, and back to the OT. Yes, I can definitely feel 2 cm differences between bars. Frankly it doesn't make a huge amount of difference to me, but I can feel it. In my view slightly wider is a little better for climbing, and narrower is better for going fast on the flats.
