I just picked up this Peugeot yesterday from LA Craigslist, advertised as a 1979 PS10. I hear the gold paint was domestic (French) market only. I have a friend with a gold PX10, and I've always lusted after it. Mine was missing front derailleur, broken plastic Simplex, and had funky hipster brake levers. I found a Shimano Exage FD that seems to work, and I have a nice set of Campy aero levers to put on for now. The paint, chrome and decals are 90% flawless as is yours. I like my gold, but yours looks great in red. My crank is a mess, won't take polish, and has a deep etched blemish, about 9 o block in my crank picture. It rides pretty good, needs a good clean and polish. The frame is 531 main triangle, as is my Raleigh Super Course, which I love. I'm looking forward to good times once I get it cleaned and sorted. Good luck with yours. Already learned about French pedal threads 😫, and the wierd crank puller required. It also came with anti theft keyed wheel locks (no QRs) and seat post bolt. Nice Brooks saddle though. I think its weird that the chrome firk crown is half painted, but it looks like yours is too.
