I misunderstood your original post. Do you have a bike shop near you? Have them check the derailleur alignment using a hanger alignment gauge. If your chain is jumping between cogs on the rear cassette, then I would check the hanger alignment and readjust the derailleur. You need a tool to verify alignment. Park Tools will have a video on derailleur adjustment. Also verify that your shift cable is clean and free of gunk, and that the shift wire slides smoothly.
