The Union Pacific purchased 25 of these "Big Boy" articulated steam locomotives, the largest ever built, before and during World War II. Six of them remain. This is one is in a public park in Cheyenne, Wyoming. It's being cosmetically restored, and while I was there, several other railfans took pictures of this gigantic piece of machinery; one also arrived on his bicycle. Another Big Boy is currently being functionally restored in a nearby UP shop.
