I've looked into statistics before and find it quite difficult to rationalize the wearing of a helmet for the kind of riding I do:


So much more worse here in the US cause people drive and ride like fools in greater numbers... Especially here in the bay area.
I've driven many miles in Spain, Italy, Germany and France and have been always amazed how well peopls drive and ride over there. Just lane discipline, signaling and distance between vehicles seem to always be respected by the great majority of people over there. I always cringe when I get back to the US and on the roads here again... so much better and fun on the Euri roads!
