Asking the important questions! I wasn’t riding the Raleigh, so that’s good. I was however riding the CAAD 9 with wafer thin aluminum stays. Not so good. The bike appears fine, no cracks in paint or tubes, but the drive side brake pad rubs consistently where it didn’t before. The rear wheel is ~true and the caliper is clean. The derailleur has a couple gouges and the sacrificial hanger is impressively shot. A quick string test shows maybe 3/32” movement measured at the seat tube - no baseline to compare to, though. I need to get better measurements and do a no-hands test ride. By eye everything - including tire clearances - is gravy, but it’s thin Aluminum... Maybe I’ll find a ~60cm Ti bike that’ll fit 35mm+ tires at some point.
