The task of machining and welding 6/4 ti is vastly more difficult than 3/2.5 ti, especially when it comes to shaped & thin-walled tubes.
I personally would not trust anyone who have successfully performed similar task over 100 times and made more than 100 of mistakes... on 6/4 ti specifically.
It's always a balance between light, strong or cheap.. pick two.
