It'd be nice if Shimano (or any other bike company) could be honest and explicit about the real differences between their own products so we could make informed decisions and not have to rely on hearsay. I'm not discounting what you're saying, but I doubt Shimano goes around advertising that Ultegra has more precise trim than 105.
