If I ride at a fairly steady effort, my NP will be slightly higher than my AP. If it's a really punchy ride, like a group ride with lots of hard accelerations, my NP will be significantly higher than my AP. What I've never seen in one of my own rides is an NP lower than my AP. I was under the impression that that doesn't really happen unless you're working with ride times that are too short for the NP algorithm to be appropriate; since your times in each power zone don't indicate a short (<20 min) ride, I was wondering if the NP<AP was an artifact of having zeros (coasting) taken out of the average power calculation or something (zeros are included with my av. power calculations).
so I checked on this and your correct. My setting was not including the zeros so it messed up the numbers. It appears to have happened two rides ago and never noticed it. Not sure how I even changed the setting in the first place. Good catch!
