The "Red Chinese" bikes were mostly Flying Pigeons as I recall, a knock-off of the Raleigh DL-1. They came in any color you wanted as long as it was black. I have only seen single speed models. There used to be a shop in LA that sold Pigeons and rod brake parts that were interchangeable with Raleigh. As I recall they also sold some rims and maybe wheels.
