I am having a bit of a laugh about all this. My driver licence was suspended, not for anything that I was booked for, but based on a report passed on to the licensing department by the person who did my eye testing after the farming accident that almost killed me. I think a letter was also sent by the hospital doctor staff. I have a follow-up recovery doctor appointment this coming Tuesday to see how recovery is going, and an OK letter was written by the eye analyst last week.

I am now in the process of moving towards getting the licence back, but that alone may take a month. Considering I am now 63 and had my driver licence continually since the age of 17, all this is a bit of a challenge.

Fortunately, there has been no banning of cycling, at least in the past month (there were medical suggestions including a large number from Machka that I put cycling aside for a while -- which has been slowly overcome in the past several weeks, thank goodness).
