Been there done that, not going back, I raced on tubulars back in the 60s. We had a bike shop for a sponsor, so I never got very good at patching and gluing them. I put them right about the same level of fun as toe clips, cleats and straps, which I don't use anymore either, except at Eroica. I have been using Gatorskins but now have Paselas on two bikes, and will get some for the old Legnano one of these days. 2000 miles, 3 flats on Paselas. Zero flats on the Gators in 3 years. Admittedly have not tried "modern" tubs.
