Bikes: '96 Litespeed Catalyst, '05 Litespeed Firenze, '06 Litespeed Tuscany, '20 Surly Midnight Special, All are 3x10. It is hilly around here!

You may have no choice. Unless the replacement crank and the old crank share the same model and size bottom bracket, the new crank will dictate what bottom bracket it requires.
