I agree, and I'm not above admitting that this could have been user error. It's been years since I was patching a dozen or two tubes a day in my bike recycling program, and I rarely get flats on my own bike so I'm a bit out of practice. Tonight, I intentionally punctured a 27" tube that has been around my garage for some time just to perform a THIRD test with my Rema kit. (I'm really into this now, Anklework. Can you stand it????) Anyway, if that one doesn't hold, then I officially just suck at patching and I will go back to replacing tubes when they puncture and using the bad ones as bungee straps.
