That gadget is brilliant. My method before resorting to a bin of water is to move the tube slowly by my cheek. I will either hear the leak or feel it with my cheek. It works most of the time, but I need a quiet place. If I suspect a location, I spit on it.

I agree that ^THAT^ level of patch overlap is beyond my level of frugality or stress tolerance.
