After hard braking (say coming down from a steep hill at a fast speed), the rotors on my Shimano disc brakes warp. I can hear them rubbing in the brake pad housing as I start peddling again. Once the rotors have cooled down, they return to their original state and all is well again.
Curious to know if a) others are experiencing this b) if it is a big deal to be concerned with and c) if you switched to a different rotor make to avoid the issue.

Next time this happens, try squeezing the brake lever a couple of times. I have found that sometimes, especially if the pistons are dusty, they don't fully retract after a hard downhill with lots of prolonged braking, but a couple of lever squeezes resets them. (In other words, I don't think it is necessarily caused by rotor warping.)
