Hardly. Lawyers aren't wealthy bastids either. But you have a good point. Moving out of country, especially to this part of the world, bears a steep, and drawn out learning curve. It is certainly not for everybody. And we had the advantage of living in Belize for the first six years, speaking English. The culture there is not so very different from here, on the village level anyway. We have been here for over ten years and baffling cultural norms still are prevalent. And the differences simply between the city and the villages is profound. One gets acclimated to the culture of the city, and has to start from scratch in the villages. The language remains the same, and that's about it. I was triggered, reacted, and am ready to move forward in peace. I hope you are too.
