I would say if ALAN would not repair these older frames of theirs anymore and well known frame repair services like Calfee would not touch them, the frame is pretty much toast if you have a lug/tube separation.
One might consider doing the repairs themselves using modern, commercially available epoxies that could be the equivalent or better than what was used originally, but , unless you really know what you are doing, it is not really worth the risk, IMO...
And reselling a home repaired bonded frame...... You really would not want to be worrying about what could happen to the bike and new owner l after you sell it, would you???
