people here (US) ruin mass transit. We have jumped the shark in that department in the U.S.
A spurious correlation? In fact, that is likely just one of many reasons. The greatest of which may be because they don't have any alternative. Even in the U.S. in cites such as N.Y., they have to adapt to the norm in order to survive.
