Bang! The high country is shutting down. That was quick. One of my favorite strenuous rides is from Colonial Creek Campground to Mazama and back. Pretty much exactly 100 miles and 10,000'. I watered at the creek near the Bridge Creek trailhead. I doubt I could do it anymore. Last time I did it, it was 105° when I left Mazama. Washington was a tough climb that day. RCC does a 2-day Mazama ride from Marblemount every year. I might sign up for it next year. Always wanted to do it.
