Jack Hearn Project advice and help

Hello

I have a yellow Jack Hearn from the 70s, working on a more exact date.

Anyway I'm after some advice and tips on the best kit for the period

It was in a shocking state and i've managed to save the frame, forks, seat post, handle bars- virtually no rust and in good condition

The mafac racer brakes seem to be fine to and I'm thinking I'll keep them as the reviews I've read said they are decent

The only other thing that is useable are the brake leavers, Mafac, which don't seem very good

It was fitted with a simplex front and rear derailleur, rusted and completely done- are these any good?

I've read up a little on Jacks bikes and it seems he favoured Campy, what do you think would fit?

I havent taken the bb and crank off yet to inspect but suspect the bb will need replacing at least.

I have some campy, 27" wheels which will go nicely

after any hints or tips

thanks
