Scraping noise

Scraping noise on my Bromptonj 6 speed..any ideas..I have a scraping noise coming from my back wheel or hub..Checked all the obvious things, mudguard, brakes, side to side play in the rear wheel,,chain tensioner,etc..All the hub gears work fine and change ok between the 2 sprockets..The scraping noise is heard at a slow speed when just coasting along or pedalling slowly..The bike is 6 years old and perhaps done 3000 miles or so..Checked the main rear pivot bearing and there is no play in that..If the bike is lifted up at the rear and the cranks turned the wheel turns really well for ages ..Everything has been lubricated well..
Is it time for more grease to be put in the hub..or perhaps some engine oil put in through the right side gear changer?
