sram bsa gxp replacement help .

huuuuuuuuuh , hi ,

dont you just hate it when a simple repair doesn't work .?
so i have a small issue with my bb ill give you the details maybe you can tell me where i went wrong .

i have a tarmac sl2 2011 comp , it came with a rival , crank gxp , with a threaded gxp bb, really basic simple stuff .

i wore it out , it got play , i bought a replacement bb , English 68/73 .

the only difference i noticed is the NEW bb has a plastic cap on the drive side that wont let the crank slide through , on the OLD bb it has no cap .
so i took the cap off screwed the cups into the frame , slid the crank in , and still has play , even being super tightened ,

i tried two cup spacers , cranks would seize when tightened .
i tried one spacer on drive side , seems to work but still the slightest bit of vertically orientated play , just a tiny little wiggly notchy bump , and wont go away . ( plus the original BB cups didn't use any spacers )

i feel the parts are identical , i did think there might be a spacer that goes on the shaft , on the drive side , i might have misplaced ,
because i know i use that kind of internal shaft based drive side spacer on my pressfit gxp bb setup .

this should be an easy strait switch NO ??? i really dont get it , but thanks for the info in advance >>>>
