Made in Japan, 1989 Miyata 1000 touring bike. Original owner. 18-speed (3x6)

The vintage Miyata 1000 is often described as the best touring frame ever made.

Highlights include: original paint and logos, charcoal gray color with contrasting gold color logos, fully lugged "triple butted" Miyata Spline technology frameset with cantilever brakes, engraved Miyata logo on fork crown, Miyata "M" logo on headtube lug, Made in Japan frame decal, "dual" rack and fender mounts, front fork leg rack mounts, 2 bottle cage mounts, and mount for touring pump. 700c wide rims for added strength/ stability.

This one has been used as a commuter bike for the past 15 years. Original touring style drop handlebars are included separately.

Shimano Deore components with extra small "granny gear" on a triple crankset, extra large frame tire clearance for versatile set-ups and running super fat tires.
