One of the things I think I'd do differently is about shoes and pedals. Having said that, I do love my Speedplay Zeros. I've used them for many years and I just think they are the best. But, because I am a recreational rider and have 2 road bikes and a CX bike, I would go the route of MTB pedals and shoes. A good pair of Sidi shoes and Speedplay Frogs would work for me. And it would be a bit less expensive since I wouldn't have to have two different types of shoes and pedals. And, of course, walkability. FWIW, since their kit fits me best, I would have gone to Assos a long time ago.
