I've never done a deep dive into the "proper" orientation of that brake bridge, and, yes, if we're reading it right---not a lot of it showing. Anyhow, I found enough examples of both orientations that I had a hard time calling either one "correct." Can't recall details, or even who made it. Maybe if there are catalogs from the mfr showing only one orientation?
