early '70s falcon project (54cm) - $25 (greenwood)

https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/b...737623874.html

early '70s entry-level falcon frameset with awful paint includes ...

- frame (51cm seat tube, 56cm top tube, both c-c)
- fork (5.25" steerer)
- headset (cups & crown are installed)
- cottered crank with chainrings
- smooth bottom bracket
- seatpost & bolt
- ideale saddle
- head badge.

the chrome tipped fork is in good shape and would be easy to paint ... if you simply need a fork for a small frame. it's not that heavy and has threaded eyelets, which is nice.

the leather saddle can be salvaged with a little love. treat the top. remove the rust from the rails. and punch a couple holes in the skirts to lace 'em together.

its weinmann center-pulls are listed in my parts ad.

i love falcons -- i have two others -- so i didn't want to scrap this one even though it's entry-level. the head badge alone is probably worth $20 to someone restoring a vintage falcon.

cheers.
