bleh ... kind of jarred me though, hearing it SPRONK indoors. Usually I barely notice it due to the outside noise/wind. This sounded like the whole damn wheel exploded
Solution: get an older kickr! It will be so loud you won't hear the spoke and you won't care because the wheel will be sitting on the floor next to the trainer anyway. Direct drive yo.
